In this module, Dr. Vijayender Nalla shares insights on how emerging technologies contribute to value chain innovation. Using the Waitrose food waste reduction initiative, Dr. Vijayender demonstrates how retailers can re-define their value proposition by adopting technology strategically.


An Innovative technology called "Controlled Instantaneous Pressure Drop (CIPD)" is used to demonstrate how the production, processing and distribution can align themselves to deliver differentiated shopper value. The case of horticulture and rice value chains are used as demonstration scenarios for creating added value.

After module 7 the learner will be provided an assignment to which will be reviewed by the program instructors
